With the development of the high degree of the information resource digitization,the dissemination of information depends more on the network, the needs of users toaccess and use information resource are also on the increase. Digital library which is acore institution to achieve information resource management and digitization continueto expand the area of information services. The catalog process of digital libraryinformation collection is complex, the indexing and organizing process is complex, theinformation service mode is fixed and the update of information is slow. At the sametime, the digital library information service has a shock by the Wiki bitertanol form likeBaidu Baike and Google Scholar, influencing the using of digital library information.From the view of information ecological chain, the complex information activities ofdigital library can be analyzed to some a plurality of information ecological chain,analyzing the process of information flow to grasp the whole dynamic of informationactivities, coordinate every part of information organization and service, provide moretargeted information resources.This paper summarizes the research status of digital library, describes the conceptand characteristics of the digital library, analyses the information flow of digitallibraries involved in providing information service process further. On this basis, theconcept of the digital library Information ecological chain is put forward. The digitallibrary information ecological chain is made up by information resources, informationpopulation and information ecological environment, which are involved in the processof digital library information for exchanging and sharing. The digital libraryinformation ecological chain not only shows some ecological characteristics similar tothe general information ecological chain, but also some unique characteristics. Thestructure of digital library information ecological chain is described, the elements ofthis structure includes nodes which contain three types and links which contain twoways to connect nodes. The interaction relationship between nodes is introduced in thispaper at the same time. On this basis above, the digital library information ecological chain can be divided into three structure layers: the core layer, support layer and theexpansion layer. According to the different digital library constitute of the core layer,the digital library information ecological chain can be separated into single pointstraight-chain type and multi point convergent type.The digital library, the Information producers who offer information and the userswho are Information service object make up a complete system to produce, organize,achieve and use information resource. By using the means and methods of SystemDynamics to analyzing the influence factors on the Information feedback and controlin the operation process of the digital library information ecological chainsystematically, clear the priority effect of all these factors, then the operationmechanism of digital library information ecological chain is constructed. There are twooperation mechanisms: one is the forward push mechanism based on the informationvalue add, the other is the oppositely directed push mechanism based on theimprovement of users information needs.This paper takes the characteristic resource database of Jilin University digitallibrary as an example, check the operation mechanism of digital library informationecological chain above and put forward the corresponding optimization strategy.
