With the growing demand for broadband mobile communications, the scarcity. of wireless spectrum resources is becoming increasingly serious. Cognitive radio as an intelligent spectrum sharing technology can effectively solve this problem. In the case of access to licensed spectrum to develop specific applications for cognitive radio IEEE802.22standard, the cognitive radio users.to accurately perceive idle spectrum and does not cause interference to authorized users. Nowadays, with the in-depth study of cognitive radio technology, domestic and foreign scholars have reference IEEE802.22standard defines this opportunistic spectrum access scheme to build a platform for practical research in cognitive radio. However, in recent years with the study of the polarization domain characteristics of the wireless signal deepening polarization domain spectrum sharing scheme has also become a hot topic in cognitive radio. At present researches in this area are at the stage of theoretical studies and computer simulations, and not an actual platform used to validate research results.The research work is supported by young researchers and innovative program from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications of special project:"TD-LTE spectrum sharing system based on cognitive radio polarization"(item number:2012RC0108).The research of this thesis concentrates on the spectrum sharing between the secondary users and the primary users based on the signals’ polarization information, and the main research work and achievements of this thesis are as follows:(1) Cognitive radio spectrum sharing technology and polarization information processing technology are summarized and analyzed. The existing spectrum sharing methods are summarized.Moreover, the feasibility of achieving spectrum sharing in signal polarization domain is analyzed.(2) For spectrum sharing between a pair of secondary users and a pair of primary users in time-domain, spectrum sharing platform complete each module in the polarization domain making cognitive users and authorized users simultaneously share the same frequency spectrum, thereby further enhance the spectrum efficiency.(3) FTP business model work on the polarization spectrum sharing platform is designed and implemented. System testing to provide the actual test, to verify the performance of the platform. And to complete the design and implementation of the platform demo interface.(4) Tests on the platform of the functional and performance. The results show the feasibility of the polarization spectrum sharing scheme in practice. Through the platform, spectral efficiency tests show platform can effectively improve the spectrum utilization.
