As a new technology, wireless sensor network has received a widespread attention from academia and industry. It is a new type of information perception and acquisition system, based on the data center. At present, the research and construction of meteorological information processing platform based on Middleware and the applications of wireless sensor network in meteorological industry are still in the initial stage. Although the concepts have been presented, the specific researches and practices are still basically blank. This special application background of related technology research will help us to master the key technology, take the high ground of the new technology application, also to broaden the application fields of middleware.The subject comes from "The critical meteorological equipment and information processing platform development of wireless sensor network system" project. The project makes the full use of the advantages of wireless sensor network, combines with the national meteorological observation data industry demand for information transmission, researches wireless sensor network nodes that can be applied in meteorological industry, middleware information processing platform, and the construction of relevant meteorological data database, pioneering the development of meteorological wireless sensor network demonstration system. This project has opened up new areas of wireless sensor network, and promoted the renewal of meteorological information network development and technology.This paper analysis and summarizes the characteristics and problems of the existing middleware. According to the specific business needs of meteorological wireless sensor network, we put forward a middleware solution based on SOA. Based on the observation data analysis and classification of meteorological wireless sensor network, we design the meteorological information packet format. Through the comparison of the existing Web real-time communication technologies, WebSocket in significant advantages of low-latency, low network throughput, and will be introduced to the real-time communication between middleware and Web page. On this basis, we establish the overall framework of middleware platform, and give the concrete realization method of the middleware software platform. Middleware platform realizes the data interaction of underlying meteorological wireless sensor network and front desk SensorWeb platform. The actual operation result shows, using.NET and WebSocket technology, greatly improved the real-time, versatility, flexibility of the system, simplifying the system’s later modification and maintenance.
