In the current rapid progress of the society, people’s requirement for safety monitoring is higher and higher, therefore, efficient video monitoring is more and more important. And video monitoring technology is closely linked with the image compression technology;aiming at the hot issues, a kind of video monitoring system based on DSP and H.265is designed in the paper.The system uses TMS320DM642chip produced by TI company as the kernel and adopts H.265video codec technology, including the acquisition, coding,decoding for video information and the display of playback, et al. First, image processing is conducted for the collected video datas and the processed video datas are sent to DSP chip for video encoding. Then,the encoded datas are sent to the remove device for decoding and displaying,et al.The paper firstly introduces the key technology of H.265decoding algorithm, on the basis, the overall hardware structure based on DSP is disigned and the whole software procedures of H.265based on DSP is implemented. Sencondly, on the design of the hardware and software, modularization technique is adopted. Finally, the performance of H.265and H.264is analysised and compared, meanwhile, the visual effect of video monitoring system based on DSP and H.265is given. For the synchronization management of video datas multi-thread technology, FIFO technology and Overlay technology are taken to realize H.265decoding and video display.Among them, using Overlay technology can avoid the tear when the image is at a height movement.The paper realizes H.265encoding algorithm by DSP technology, which is largely opening up the application in the real life and has greatly promoted the development of video monitoring system.Thus,the video monitoring system based on DSP and H.265in this paper has proposed important practical significance and practical value.
