After the boom of introducing talent shows by television stations in China, thegreat prospect of real variety show is seen and raises another fever of introducingtalent shows, Several television stations buy the copyright of real variety shows ofKorea, such as <1nigh&2days> in Sichuan TV,<Where are We Going, Dad?> inHunan TV and <Blossoming Grandpa> in Oriental TV.<1nigh&2days> is a hot realvariety show of KBS, there have been three seasons since first broadcast on5Aug.,2007. Chinese version of <1nigh&2day Travel Dream> was first broadcast on27Oct.,2013and last show was on12Jan.,2014. Not only did the Sichuan television stationbring in the copyright of <1nigh&2days> but also its production team. What are thedifferences between Chinese version and original version of <1nigh&2days>? Dosethe Chinese Version only show the form not the content or both form and content oforiginal version? After the Chinese Version of <1nigh&2days> season1, the research paper aboutthis show is few and there is no thesis of comparative studies between Chinese andOriginal version of<1nigh&2days>. In order to answer the questions above, this thesisuses Chinese version season1and Korean Version season2as objects of the research. This thesis takes the Scene Function Model theory as the supporting theory and eachscene as unit of analysis, using five variable quantities: the number and length ofscenes and the function of the core of scenes (five variable values) and scenesattached (nine variable values). This paper also chooses12programs both in Chineseand Korean version and uses content analysis, regarding scene as unit and by the wayof movie, to transform28hours’ programs into content analysis table of about onehundred thousand words. The results of analysis present that the Korean <1nigh&2days> season2exits84scenes and is much more than37scenes in Chinese Version season1while theaverage length of each scene in Korean version is70seconds that is shorter than107 seconds in Chinese version. Referring to the scene function, significant differencesexist in annotation of the scenes attached function, revelation, action, scene switchand function defense in core scenes. The number of scenes having revelation, actionand function defense in Korean <1nigh&2days> season2is larger than those inChinese Version season1while the number of scenes having annotations andtransition function is much less than Chinese version. In comparison of averagequantity of the scene relationship, there is no obvious difference, but crossing, causation and parallel relationship have great differences in proportional distributionof scene relationship. The second season of Korean version of <1nigh&2days> usescross cut and first season of Chinese version is cut by the time. The results of empirical study provide data support for analyzing similarities anddifferences between Chinese version season1and Korean version season2of<1nigh&2days>. This paper also has a qualitative analysis of the results of empiricalstudy from three aspects: the early scriptwriting of program, the performance of hostgroup and post production. In early scriptwriting, both Chinese version season1andKorean version season2take structural writing mode and same program frame. Thescriptwriter gives members fixed roles. When choosing members, these fixed roles aretaken in to consideration. Korean version season2pays more attention to the quantityand originality of games and the function of ‘rescue by the last minute’ whendesigning game rules in early scriptwriting. Chinese version put more famous scenicspots as the game or target place and notice the blending of program and local tastyfood, characteristics and intangible cultural heritages. As for performance of hostgroup, the hosts of Korean version season2is more initiative, members can add newgames or apply for changing the games according to the situation of the games orscenes. The members make their roles represented not only in language also in action, which create real and vivid characters both themselves and the fixed roles they play.Chinese version shows the realities but neglect the varieties. In post production,Korean version has high cutting frequency and quick tempo, using more cross cutting.Chinese version owes low cutting frequency and slow tempo, almost cut by the time. But both of them emphasize skills using suspense, flashbacks and other methods toattract audience and improve the fluctuation of plot. Korean’s scene switch skills arebetter than those of Chinese version. In the program, Korean version use languageswitch, subtitle switch, same place switch, same song switch, music switch and others. These skills make the scene switch natural and associated. Chinese version season1of <1nigh&2days> is more characteristic in introducing game rules and targets. Both Chinese version and Korean Version pay attention to the subtitles. However, Koreanversion is more familiar with the use of subtitles, applying the subtitles in sceneswitch, revealing figures, omitting the narration, introducing the plots, remindingaudience to notice some pictures, ridiculing figures or actions, creating laughingpoints, clarifying and other situations. At last, this paper gives some suggestions to <1nigh&2days> of Chinese versionform three aspects: the early scriptwriting of program, the performance of host groupand post production.
