With the development of wireless communication services, spectrum resources are increasingly scarce. People’s demanding for spectrum utilization become higher and higher. Not only civil areas and commercial areas face this problem, military areas also need to respond to this challenge. Particularly in the battlefield environment, not only because the tense spectrum resources, but also we often respond to enemy’s interference to communications bands. Therefore, in battlefield environment, how to enhance the anti-interference performance and increase bandwidth efficiency have been an important issue. This paper relies on our lab’s project "Broadband and software-defined radio based communications platform design and development", the main purpose is to design the anti-interference system in communication platform which using AMC and cognitive radio technology, focusing on AMC technology’s design and implementation in sensing terminal.As we all know, cognitive radio technology can find the bands which are not occupied by other services or the interference are smaller than present one through spectrum sensing and spectrum analysis. Then communication system can select the corresponding frequency band to communicate. In this way the utilization of spectrum are greatly improved. Adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) technology can adapt the communication environment by changing the information’s modulation and coding scheme to achieve the maximum channel utilization. Combining cognitive radio and AMC techniques can further improve the performance of anti-interference and spectrum efficiency of communication system. This article introduces the demand analysis, outline design and detailed design of sensing terminal with AMC function, put forward the implementation scheme of sensing terminal with AMC function, simulate a variety of modulation and coding schemes using Matlab and compare their performance, propose the implementation method of modulation and coding scheme. Finally use verilog language to make detail design of AMC modules in FPGA. The analysis show that the scheme is reasonable and feasible and achieves the design requirements of the project.
