A final functional testing step is necessary for the completion of valve actuator assembly. But there are many disadvantages and problems in the field of the traditional manual test,example inefficiency,prone to error,testing incompletely and so on. Based on the present situation and development trend of automatic test field, this thesis analyzed the characteristics of lots of actuator products, then put forward the design scheme of automatic test system. It combined with real time EtherCAT、 GPIB bus and Lab VIEW software platform, which chould improve testing accuracy and efficiency.According to the TEVA actuator product performance parameters and other testing requirements, the test equipment and software programming was designed. In the aspect of hardware design, by the means of real-time EtherCAT, GPIB bus, RS232serial port, relay matrix and pneumatic system, the Industrial Control Computer realize the operation and monitoring to the test facility and instrument. On the other hand, the design of software is based on LabVIEW development platform. The Lab VIEW calls the actuators’test sequence from Access database, to achieve more than90kinds of actuator products test sequence management, edit and running. Finally, the test data is stored and processed.Because of lots of types and test items for TEVA actuators in practice, it is difficult to cover all the actuators and all test items. By the means of summarizing all actuators’test requirements, a list of hardware equipment could be attained. Then, according to the test sequence, by combing single step Vis, the whole automatic test flow was formed. Consequently, the development of the test platform is proved that it could operate normally by testing standard actuator products.The test platform of TEVA valve actuator matching the design requirements pas sed the acceptance of the production department, and is applied to the production line testing. It greatly improved the test efficiency and test accuracy. It can easily test different types of the valve actuators, and fully guarantee the quality of valve actuator.
