Based on the development in2G and3G communications,4G communications has emergedat the historic moment and faster transfer rates. This not only requires the antennaminiaturization, multi-band, wide band, but also have ability of radiate high gain. Based on theabove capacity, the concept of the active antenna was proposed: the antenna element andmulti-band active circuit,such as diplexers, amplifiers, oscillators, etc, are integrated into asmall RF radiation unit, to improve the performance of antenna, reducing development costs.The active antenna was designed in this thesis. First, we designing a G type ultra-widebandantenna, it use a new type of Archimedes spiral as radiator, matched to50Ohm port throughmicro-strip line; secondly, a distributed component is used to design a low pass filter, analyzingit by ADS. It gets the desired goal to compare with the simulation data and actual measurementdata; third, a low noise amplifier is an essential part of active antenna parts. In order to reducethe voltage and cost of the production, common source and common grid structure amplifier isdesigned by TSMC0.18μm CMOS process. Finally, a power amplifier has been designed usingMRF19060chip and the load drawing technology, and adopts the distributed componentstructures to design circuit, getting40dBm output power. Currently the task has been completed.
