Ultrasonic leak detection technology is growing along with the industry andproduction of emerging technologies; it involves disciplines such as physics, fluidmechanics, automatic control and mathematics, while also applying some principle of weaksignal detection, signal processing, sensors and other technology. With the development ofultrasonic non-destructive detecting technology and in-depth studies, ultrasonic detectiontechnology has also been improved. The topic for the closed container leakage andorientation detection problem, design a set of software and hardware systems based onlinear array ultrasonic air tightness detection and localization, the system can detect thepressure sealed container leaks, and in the presence of leakage under the premise can betargeted for processing, real-time and accurately reflect the leakage state of the container.First of all, on the previous research of ultrasonic gas leak detection based on lookupand summarize related material, introduces the current leak detection system in thebackground, present situation and significance of the research, according to the previousexperience of the subject inspection system’s main research directions. To release themechanism and the characteristic which the vent ultrasonic wave produced carries on theexperiment to analyze, introduced divulging had in the ultrasonic wave characteristic, thetopic the main use ultrasonic wave transducer main technical specification, for met downthe localization examination system the research to lay the foundation.Secondly, the TDOA leak location method using the array configuration, whileconsidering the powerful little influence factor of leak detection and location using differenttransducer receives an ultrasonic signal in the signal strength from the same leak source ona different, rough location of the leak location. Proposed based on the acoustic intensityfactor auto-adapted weighting fusion estimate algorithm, to the multi-channel ultrasonicwave transducer data which obtains carries on the weighting fusion.The TDOA algorithmand the acoustic intensity factor considered comes in to apply in the ultrasonic wavedivulging localization, achieves the good localization effect.Finally, in order to achieve the above proposed the research contents, build a leak detection system based on ultrasonic gas array with LabVIEW, this system belongs to thereal time processing system based on ultrasonic leak detection, to detect the leakage andlocate the leak position, with real-time detection positioning function and goodobservability and human-computer interaction function, better to meet the needs of users.
