The main emphasis of the airport is security, and perimeter is the firstline of defense against external intrusion. Due to the particularity of theairport itself, the perimeter of the airport is long. If we protect the airportonly by human beings, it won’t be effective. So we need some technicalmethods. In traditional ways, perimeter security system based on fibersensor or leakage cable has a lot of misstatements of intrusion events.People need to go there and confirm whether there is a situation.This paper presents a perimeter security system based on videoanalysis technology. The main work includes the following aspects:(1)Take advantage of surveillance system, we design and implement theperimeter security system: Because the surveillance system have remotemonitoring and automatic analysis functions. We not only can detect themoving objects, but also can double check the alarm by video. The systemsend alarm associated with images which make the system more intelligent.(2) Analyze and compare several kinds of motion detection algorithm andintegration solutions: the video analysis platform proposed in this papermust be integrated with linkage control system. Algorithm analysis andintegration proposal adoption are also research works of this paper.(3)Design and implement linkage control system: perimeter anti-invasionsystem is expected to respond to alarm events. Linkage control systemimplements control of remote devices to respond to all kinds of events.Focusing on wide area of airport and various kinds of devices, thisproject combines distributed and centralized approaches of systemarchitecture. Distributed nodes sample information of suspicious movingtargets, including outline, velocity and location, and trigger alarm signals. On receiving alarm signals, control center sends command to linkagecontrol system according to event-handling logic. For processing of alarmsignals, this paper describes the whole perimeter anti-invasion system asan finite state automata, while includes definition of states, transitionbetween states and actions. According to the characteristic of airportdevices and application scenario, the state of the system is defined byfeatures of weather, time and events. Compared to traditionaldevice-oriented approaches, this definition is clearer and has betterscalability with the increase of devices. Finally, this project constructs asystem prototype in the lab and conducts performance module test, unittest and integration test, which verifies correctness and effectiveness of thesystem design.
