Sensor network, whose vital work is collecting detection data, has been widelyused in many fields such as environmental monitoring, urban transportation, militaryand defense, space exploration and so on. It has become a new research subject howto guarantee the unimpeded data transmission link in a complex and long-rangeenvironment, faced with the traditional communication devices with a singlecommunication way. Based on the study of existing application situation of variouskinds of communication links, this paper conducts the thorough research in field ofthe multi-way communication, having an unimpeded communication link of sensornetwork by providing a variety of data transfer ways.Based on the design philosophy of embedded system, this paper analyses thekernel customization, system transplantation, making the root file system and Shellscripts and other technologies and researches the realization conditions, necessaryequipment and the communication interface of LAN, WALN,3G, ADSL and Beidoumessage communication applied to embedded system. Then we conduct the feasibilityvalidation of multi-way communication on the SBC8600which is an embeddedsystem development board and implement a WEB-based humane networkconfiguration.Based on the feasibility validation of multi-ways communication mentionedabove, this paper puts forward an ARM-based embedded communication processorwhich supports multi-way communication. It mainly includes four parts: core-boardmodule used for data processing and storage; LAN module applied to supportingwired LAN and ADSL communication; USB module designed for supporting wirelessLAN and3G network communication; RS-232module for achieving Beidou satellitemessage communication and connecting the sensor. Lastly, this paper completesschematic and PCB design of the embedded communication device.
