The passive radar which makes use of broadcast, communication, television and othernon-cooperative illuminators can be configured to bistatic/multistatic system for targetdetection and location. This radar has the merit of resisting the radar’s four major threats,and has received considerable interests. As common civil transmitters, digital TV signalsused in passive radar have very important meaning. Interference suppression and weaktarget detection technology research for passive radar using digital TV terrestrialbroadcasting signals is researched in this paper, based on the supports of the NationalNatural Science Foundation of China. The research results of this paper are fundamental forthe implementation of the passive radar using digital TV terrestrial broadcasting signals andhave theoretical and practical value. The main innovations and contributions of thisdissertation are summarized as follows:In chapter1, we introduce the background and significance of this topic.In chapter2, we introduce the array antenna model based on passive radar system, andanalyze the influence factors of the array antenna pattern; introduce the passive coherentlocation principle; analyze the factors affecting the performance of passive radar.In chapter3, we analyze the target echo signal model, based on the model analyze theadaptive broad nulls pattern, focus on the sampling matrix inversion (SMI) algorithm, andpropose the improved SMI algorithm.In chapter4, we introduce discrete distributed NLMS filter, then according to thecharacteristics of digital TV for passive radar, combined with the discrete distributedNLMS filter we analyze the multi-channel discrete NLMS algorithm.In chapter5, we analyze the reason why range migration is produced on uniformmotion of the target,Then the algorithms of long time integration with migrationcompensation based on keystone are proposed.In the tracking mode, present a rangemigration compensation method based on frequency domain phase correction.In the conclusion part, the work of this paper is summarized, and the further researchis introduced.
