Study On The Development Of Domestic Digital Library Under The Ubiquitous Knowledge Environment

The construction of digital libraries, which has experienced over10years, has made agreat transform in people’s life, work and learning mode. It also has greatly promoted thedevelopment of library community and modernization of information services. However,digital libraries are being led to an age which is full of changes, opportunities and challengesby the rapid development of IT. The emergence and development of Ambient Intelligencewith characters of omnipresent, transparency and intelligence as well as Knowledge Sharingand Lifelong Learning have gradually integrated into people’s daily lives, which has broughtnew opportunities and challenges for the development of digital library. In this case, it willprovide a great help for clarifying the development strategy and making clear of theconstruction development direction by analyzing the current situation and existing problemsof the development in digital libraries, identifying the opportunities and challenges it facesand exploring the future development. Thereby, it will supply important theoretical andpractical significance for building a pan to provide ubiquitous service in the library.The aims of this thesis are to establish the contents of the study, introduce digital libraryand ubiquitous knowledge environment theory based on literature search, compare analysisand scene construction. The study analyzes the recent digital library programs in primarycountries, which is used for reference for our country’s digital library development. Andanalyze the current development situation of China’s digital library, find the problem of them.Now, the digital library has become an important part of the knowledge infrastructure, userscan get all kinds of resources and services without time and space constraints. It emphasizeson user participation and cooperation and supports the entire life cycle of the knowledge toplay an important role in Ubiquitous Knowledge Environment. Based on this, this thesisexplores the problems of China’s digital library development under ubiquitous knowledge environment. The main themes are about the characteristics, infrastructure and functions ofthe digital libraries in the ubiquitous knowledge environment, then it builds the developmentframework of digital library from four aspects, including the operation mode of the digitallibrary, resource construction, service platform and mobile digital library. At last, the thesisproposes safeguard measures to promote the development of digital library and ubiquitousknowledge environment.
