Laser three-dimension (3D) body scanning system is a kind of3D digitaltechnology which provides an integrated systems concept for opto-mechatronics andcomputer. With the continuous development of3D technology toward high-precisionand high-automation, and its wide range of applications, the demand for softwaresystem becomes higher and higher. According to the functional requirements analysisand modular thought, this thesis mainly proposed and successfully realized theoptimized design schemes on the base of original software. Aimed at the influence ofthe joint error of point cloud, this thesis mainly proposed a method to correct the jointerror. The major work and innovation points of the paper are as follows:1. According to functional requirements analysis, this thesis classified thesoftware system. On the base of modular thought, the software system was distributedinto parameter setting module, sensors going back to zero and initialization module,motion control module, data acquisition module, data display module and dataprocessing module. In addition, this thesis replanned the process and input/outputinterface of functional modules. It also designed and integrated every module.2. This thesis expanded the function of software system. It added welcomewindow and password authentication procedure. It also added multi-sensor pointcloud joint error correction module, human body size auto-measurement system andhuman body skeleton line extraction module into the data acquisition module.3. This thesis proposed a method to correct the joint error layer by layer which isbased on a columnar standard detected object. We scanned the standard detectedobject and fitted the scanning data to get each section’s coordinate of the circle center.And then we used the actual radius of the cylinder to get the section’s true valuecircular function. Next, we made translation rigid transformation between each layer’smeasured data and true value circular function, to get this layer’s joint error andcorrected value. This method is simple and practical. It can reduce the influence of thelaser3D body scanner’s multi-sensor point cloud joint error effectively.4.Through the hybrid programming of Matlab and VC++, this thesis realized themulti-sensors point cloud joint error correction algorithm successfully.
