Yi is one of the important minorities in southwest China which has a long historyand unique culture. But because of geographical and historical reasons, the Yi cultureis gradually disappearing in the in the West culture and Han culture gradually. Internethas its own distinct advantages as a carrier in the modern world. The combination ofthe Yi culture and the internet will not only bring us new ideas and elements to thewebsite design, but also help to promote the heritage of Yi cultural.Interface design can be divided into structural design, interaction design andvisual design in three parts. The study of this paper is in the aspects of visual design.The combination of Yi traditional culture and modern design web graphics design andthe heritage and development of Yi culture are mean purposes of this paper.Graphical interface design is the epitome of modern science and technologydevelopment. And is an effective information dissemination medium, it can carryingdifferent cultural information. How to use this tool to express the minority and how tocarry forward the tradition? Methods are needed to solve these problems.Firstly, through reading large amount of literature, figure out the content andtraditional Yi visual elements of the graphical interface design. Research and analysisthe history, development, trends and to explore the traditional visual elementsbetween Yi and graphical interface relationships. The results obtained by Yitraditional culture methods and principles of visual elements in interface design, andsummarizes the Yi traditional forms and methods of visual elements in interfacedesign. Then use the theoretical results in practical projects.In the political, economic and globalization background, the traditional visualelements of traditional Chinese culture has become a indispensable part of the changefrom “made in china” to manufacturing from China. How to make China’s design hasits own characteristics, not just "Westernization" is the problem needed to be solved.We should utilize the visual elements of traditional minorities, and combine withmodern design to display a new vitality.
