At present, with the speeding up of urbanization and the level of motorizationunceasing enhancement, the urban traffic problem increasingly highlight, for the citywhich is development of crossing rivers. Usually the river channels tend to becomethe bottleneck of the traffic. So for many across the river in terms of the developmentof the city, especially in big cities in order to solve the problem of the river-crossingtraffic, started to build more river-crossing channels, including Bridges and tunnels, and want to build more river-crossing channels to alleviate the pressure ofriver-crossing transportation. In planning and designing urban river channel, the city’straffic administrative departments too much focus on how to improve the trafficcapacity of river channel, but ignore the considerations of the river-crossing channelslandscape. But for the road landscape scientific and reasonable planning anddesigning, can provide road users to create comfortable, happy, safe transportationenvironment. So the research of this article puts forward to the design of the urbanlandscape for tunnel across the river is very necessary.First of all the paper introduces the concept and the structure of urban roadlandscape and urban tunnel landscape across the river, and analyzes the driver’s visualfeatures such as the driver’s eyesight, field of vision, color feeling and optical illusion, which subsequently provide the theory basis for the research of the multichannellandscape frequency impact on the driver’s speed perception. In addition to thesedrivers perception, visual system, theoretical analysis of the spatial frequency ofmulti-channel can explain spatial frequency, contrast and color effect, edge rate has acertain impact on the driver’s speed perception, and human has the character of multichannel for receiving external visual information. Therefore, on this basis the paperputs forward the idea through the design of the multichannel landscape frequencymade from a mix of low frequency, intermediate frequency and high frequency toimprove the driver’s speed perception effect in the tunnel. Then elaborates the design ideas of using high, medium and low-frequencylandscape, and designs the multichannel landscape frequency in the entrance section, central, export of the urban tunnel across the river, and then introduces the speed perception experiment process and the data processing method based on thepsychophysical experiment method. And use3ds Max software to make theexperimental scene of multi-channel frequency of landscape design and the presentsituation of the tunnel on the basis of this.Final papers process the indoor simulation experiment data of the speedperception, at the same time also comparatively analyzes the data among theexperimental, which is obtained in the entrance section, central, export of the tunnelrespectively after using different frequency combination of multichannel landscapedesign has different effect on driver’s speed overvalued perception, and improving thedriving safety in different period of the tunnel. And on the basis of this, the designusing multichannel landscape is reasonable, which was verified respectively from twoaspects of speed coordination and speed discrete degree, to improve the driving safetyin the tunnel.
