Nowadays, the main body structure of transportation facility, architecture nuclear energy, chemical industry and ocean project uses lots of metal, like ships, planes, vehicles, reaction caldron and sea drill platform etc. Fatigue failure of metal structure is a kind of main failure mode.More and more alloy materials were used in projects, and the new material was developed intermittently. The development of new alloy demands many experiments which were used to test characteristics of new metal. Unfortunately, the conventional detection method on fatigue limit of metal was waste of time and labor, so it is necessary to develop a new kind of rapid detecting system.From the beginning of80decade of20th century, infrared image technology applied to non-destructive testing of material and mechanical structure, and People have paid much attention to the active technology of infrared nondestructive testing which was developed.The conventional detection method on fatigue limit of metal was waste of time and labor. And it is not very convenient that the SCSI-3connected with personal computers. For solving these problems, a kind of rapid detecting system based on the heat equation with thermo-mechanical couplings was designed, which used the Infrared Focal Plane Arrays Camera to detect fatigue limit of metal.A hardware circuit was introduced in Chapter3. It is a data acquisition unit which can get two kinds of signal at the same phase.Not only the function of the circuit, but also circuit diagram were shown in this paper, like SCSI-3interface, USB interface, ADC and filter circuit, and how to design. In the software design, firmware program and application program were introduced. This data acquisition unit can meet the requirement of data transmission, and the data can be received accurately and saved rapidly.Finally, a wireless data acquisition system was given, which had the technology of GPS and GPRS. It was designed for detecting large-scale object.
