Real-time video transmission with problems in video on demand, remote videotransmission and other multimedia rapid development have become increasingly prominent,video conferencing, video on demand, distance learning, remote monitoring real-timetransmission of multimedia information contain large amounts of data, users of the networkhave a higher transmission requirements performance and video quality of the network. Burstdata latency and packet loss can severely degrade the image quality of the client. Therefore,there are certain requirements for video transmission on the network bandwidth, packet lossrate and the end of the delay, due to the large delay when the network dynamic environments,non-linear and the parameters of varying characteristics, which make the problem ofestablishing precise mathematical model relatively difficult. On the basis of domestic andforeign research status of real-time video transmission, and further in-depth analysis of thereal-time video transmission problems and the existing control strategy, the theory ofintelligent control algorithm is introduced to video transmission, a strategy Smith is proposedthat based on adaptive variable universe fuzzy predictive control. The main contents are asfollows:(1) According to the theory of fluid, network congestion control mechanism is modeled.(2) The research which imprecise mathematical model has influence on the real-timevideo transmission, the fuzzy PID control is applied to video transmission system, the sim-ulation results show that the superiority of PID control strategy, the output of control systemcan track the stable value fast, if the video stream burst into the system, the system will bemaintained in the vicinity of expectations, however, if the parameter of link capacity have agreat changes. It is likely to cause system output which have a poor tracking.(3) The research which large delay of network environment has influence on thereal-time video transmission. The Smith predictor fuzzy PID is proposed which based activequeue management algorithm. The algorithm combined with Smith predictive control andfuzzy control, the use of Smith predictor compensate network delay, it is due to the fact thatthe accuracy of the model structure and parameters are too sensitive, while the use of fuzzycontrol to some extent overcome the traditional Smith predictor, the shortcomings ofrobustness of the poor, so that congestion control performance has significantly improved.Simulation results show that the algorithm in large delay network environment can be a goodrouter queue length converge to expectations.(4) Adaptive variable universe fuzzy smith estimate applied research in videotransmission control. An adaptive variable universe fuzzy smith predictive control strategyapplied in congestion control video transmission. With variable universe fuzzy control method can guarantee the system’s overall stability and control accuracy, which caneffectively overcome the steady-state error and chatter, can quickly adapt to the dynamicchanges in the network environment. Finally, the simulation shows that the queue quicklyconverge to a smaller target, overshoot, and when the network parameters has a wide range ofchanges, still maintain better control performance, and has better stability and robustness.
