But, it is not an easy thing to understanding a thing. In order to understanding a thing, we must give an explanation to it, and get the information and conclusion through the specific explain activity, furthermore, create a predication to the similar event.When it refers to the definition of the "news", according to Dingyi Lu (1943),"news is the report of the new facts." According to Changjiang Fan,"news is the important facts that people should’ve known". News always exists in the form of a text, whether in the new media text, text, and text images, which are description of the facts that have taken place. Unavoidably, the premises of these kinds of descriptions are the communicators’invisible understandings of the facts. Although it is the objectivity that we emphasized during the reports of the news, but deviation exists during the process of reporting news and understanding the facts, because of which, explanatory reports news are generated during the developmental process of the objective reporting on information theory. Explanatory reports news refers to the reports that based on the facts, besides the essential elements of the news, analyzing the cause, development process, causal link, and the development trend one by one; the appearance of the explanatory reports news changes the single description of the facts to the reports of the link between the facts and the meaning of the news. Especially for the reports of unexpected events, explanatory news report can give the audience a new awareness and inspiration; besides on the basis of the principle of the objective and justice, it represents the reason behind the news.Since the decades after the SARS, the birth of new media changes the environment of the media, and print media is threatened by the emergency of new media based on the internet technology, and "the theory of dying out of the newspapers" appears frequently. In order to survive during the competition of the media, print media must establish their own survival advantages, and then implement better social responsibility of the media. For the mass new media, which is fragmented, explanatory news report, which is based on the reconstruction of the facts and reason exploring, is the best way to represent it. Due to the lack of integrity and logic, fragmented news report is unable to provide the full information of the facts, because of which, it cannot give enough evidence to objective judgment. Especially for the unexpected events, people tends to focus on the emotional language due to the inadequate representation of the facts and the related reason, and meanwhile urge the immediate comment, internet rumors, violence, negative emotions and even group events, based on which, deviations occurs upon the opinions of the audience and influences that the unexpected events have.With the development and progress of society, more and more lenient policy will be given to the news media about the news report, especially for the reports of the unexpected events, that is to say, there is going to have a big promotion in the media of our country. Knowing the present status and the inadequacy is the premise of the establishment of the explanatory news report. This paper chooses the<People’s Daily>,<Southern Metropolis Daily>,<China News Weekly> as the object, take the explanatory news report of the Wenchuan Earthquake, the Train Accident, the Bird Flu, and Xiamen bus arsom attack as examples, explores China party mouthpiece, City newspaper, news magazine for all kinds of emergencies explanatory report features, and try to find out the present status and trend of the reports of unexpected events after the SARS in our country through the comparison of every newspapers and the comparison beyond different newspapers, and further, try to give useful reference to the improvement of the news report, which has great meaning to the establishment of the survival advantages of new media.
