ABSTRACT:As the mobile communication system becoming broadband and massive MIMO communication technique becoming a research hotspot of the next generation system, the demand of broadband wireless channel simulation technique is active. Wireless channel simulation is not only an important tool of the mobile communication theory and key technology research, system design, network planning, equipment development and test, but also an important bridge between wireless channel modeling and application. At present, wireless channel simulation are mostly completed by pure software computation, which has less real-time performance and much assumptive conditions, and can’t provide interface for other physical environments. While the wireless channel simulation technique based on hardware is monopolized by a few foreign companies and can’t meet the requirement of wireless channel simulation in the future. In view of this, this paper optimized the wireless channel simulation system by using parallel computing techniques and developed a semi-storage method based broadband wireless channel emulator which is verified by laboratory tests. The main work and innovation points in this paper are as follows:Ⅰ. For the broadband MIMO channel simulation, a semi-store based wireless channel simulation method is proposed by using iterative processing, parallel processing, hardware and software combined processing techniques. It effectively reduced the simulation complexity and improved simulation speed, and finally meet the requirements of high-precision real-time simulation in high-speed environment.Ⅱ. Based on the channel simulation method proposed in this paper, the broadband wireless channel emulator is build on the software defined radio platform of National Instruments. It supports two independent channels and2×2MIMO channel simulation and meet the requirements of hardware-in-the-loop simulation for LTE system.Ⅲ. Build a hardware-in-the-loop simulation sytem for TD-LTE system to test the link performance in high-speed environment, with analysis of EVM, BLER and throughput, and also complete the verification of the wireless channel emulator developed in this paper.
