Assembly is an important part in industry product design and manufacturing, whichdirectly determines the performance and cost of development products. Object the process ofproduct design in manufacturing industry includes a plurality of different design departments,multiple product suppliers, and they are usually not in one place. In the design process, if candiscover assembly mismatch problem will be particularly important. The distributed networktechnology and collaboration technology, to solve the mismatch in the assembly process,complete the virtual assembly. Omitting the physical prototyping process, in the collaborativevirtual assembly ended after only making a physical prototype can, effectively reducing thedevelopment cost, and shorten the manufacturing cycle of the product development, improvethe competitiveness of enterprises and products in the market.In this paper, the architecture of collaborative virtual assembly system based onmanufacturing, on the base of analyzing the shortcomings of the existing technology andsystem architecture, the function of the system, the basic constitution and the solutions werestudied. Based on the analysis of functional requirements and characteristics, the architectureof the system and the key issue to be solved urgently. These key technologies of collaborativevirtual assembly method, PC cluster parallel rendering based on. Collaborative virtualassembly system by constructing method based on high level architecture of manufacturingindustry. Laid the foundation for the system implementing the method. Parallel renderingbased on PC group is another key technology of the system. The products manufacturingindustry in the design of large quantities of data real-time rendering requirements, the loadbalancing technology, model segmentation and3D data fusion technology is studied andimplemented the parallel rendering scheme. In the design of system architecture and the keytechnologies based on the construction of system, based on the manufacturing of collaborativevirtual assembly platform, and in a certain vehicle collaborative assembly applications, showsthat this system is effective.
