Since the end of the20thcentury, human beings have entered the period of informationrevolution, which penetrates all aspects of social life, marking that human society has run intothe internet era. Nowadays, internet ranges from politics and trade to leisure andentertainment, infiltrating into every corner of our life.“Digital Life”,“NetworkCircumstance” or “E-life” is the pronoun of internet life. For political reality, the internet eraexerts great influence on political participation. The advent of internet not only entrusts somenew connotations to us, but also brings a series of new changes to political participation,having a significant impact on political participation. Chinese political participation entailsspecific political implications to internet: Internet eliminates some institutional defects, raisesthe enthusiasm of citizen participation and changes the way of interaction between thegovernment and citizen. Meanwhile, many problems are brought about. Thereupon, we shouldgrasp the features of the internet era firmly and find solutions to the problems emerging fromnetwork political participation to make them meet the requirements of the times. Eventually,some useful references will be provided for the harmonious and orderly development of thenetwork political participation in China.
