As a characteristic traditional and primary industry of china, developing Camellia industry is a strategic measure to improve structure of people’s edible oil, to maintain national safety of oil. It is an important way to adjust the industrial structure of the village, increase the income of the farmer in forest area. Our country attached great importance to develop Camellia industry, governments at all levels introduced the policy actively according to the local actual situation, the development enthusiasm of the Camellia industry has reached the top high. With the scientific research work being constant to deepen, the study of breeding, rapid propagation, cultivation, deep processing, by-products utilization and other fields have conducted fully. It laid the conditions of resources, technology foundation for the research of information construction of Camellia. The network environment of information resource based on internet that people could construct and share has grown up. The service modes and means are developing from the traditional way to more efficient and open. These changes provide a highway for Camellia information service toward the direction of digitalization, virtualization and networking.The main results of a science and technology network service platform of Camellia industry are as follows:1Under the background of developing Camellia industry and information construction, in order to determine the platform model and idea we visited many related websites and platforms, and analyzed related service platform of science and technology as cases.2The network framework and technical architecture of platform would be designed through cases study.3The Camellia service platform of science and technology would be divided into7parts with details. It would be ensure that the platform covers all the sides of Camellia industry.4The Camellia special databases would be divided into9sub databases by the TPI system of Tsinghua Tong fang, the databases would be collected and information fields would be analyzed and designed.According to the design idea, the platform will achieve three functions. One is information publicity. It should propagate Camellia oleifera policy, extend Camellia oleifera culture to more areas and people, and speed up the transfer and diffusion of knowledge. Two is the communication. It should provide an interactive platform, such as expert consultation, communication online and so on, so it can promote the cooperation between different regions and units. Three is the popularization of science and technology. It should use the internet technology application into daily scientific research and achievements, provide a strong support for the research and popularization of new Camellia oleifera breeds and technology, and thereby make better research achievements into productivity. Achievement and popularization of the platform will create enormous economic and social benefits. However, platform implementation needs financial resources, manpower and material resources. It can not be achieved in a short time. So the Paper wsa mainly designed for platform construction planning, framework, system configuration, function and database in theory. As for the specific implementation will complete in the further research.
