Virtual Reality is a high-tech emerged in recent years. Panoramic technology as a newmedia technology of virtual reality is based on the static state panoramic image. It canrealize the comprehensive interactive display and restore the real scene through computertechnology. The visual reproduction in the article title namely refers to panoramictechnology. Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) is a technical publicationestablished by a standard digital format using the different forms such as text, graphics,tables, audio, video and etc and providing the basic principle, operation and maintenanceinstructions of equipments in human-computer interaction way. To solve the panoramicroaming system’s shortage of enough information developed by panoramic technology andthe highly abstract presentation of information in traditional information managementsystem, we developed the ship equipments information management system based onpanoramic technology which is a little similar to IETM through taking a ship as researchobject, using panoramic technology, referencing IETM development thinking andcomplying with the CWBT standards.The article completed the development of a ship panoramic roaming system mainly inthe Flash CS5.5platform through the usage of one of the Flash3D engines Papervision3Dengine. The panoramic roaming system realized the comprehensive interactive roaming indifferent scenarios, the scenarios could be rotated, zoomed in, zoomed out, full screen, etcunder the control of mouse, and the system also realized the picture pop, the addition ofvideo and electronic map navigation. Referring to the development of IETM thinking, weuse the extended architecture of S2Type in IETM to research and develop the shipequipments information management system in accordance with the relevant provisions inCWBT standard. The system mainly realized create, retrieve, update and delete operation ofthe ship equipments information such as the basic information, maintenance information,drawings and videos information, etc. The article realized the two different systems’ internaldata communication by using ActionScript3.0to call the JavaScript file, thus building a shipequipments information management system based on panoramic technology.The innovation of this article is that solve the technical difficulty that thenon-deformation addition of hotspots in the development process of panorama roamingbased on the PV3D engine through calculating the conversion formula between the plane coordinates and the spherical coordinates and combining the functions and the instanceobjects of partial class in the PV3D engine, which resulting in the development of the shippanoramic roaming system. Also the article realized the two systems’ data communicationby using ActionScript3.0to call the JavaScript file which makes it possible that when we areroaming in the ship compartments we can easily and visually acquire the relevantinformation on the ship equipments, thus can improve the staffs’ cognition efficiency aboutthe ship compartment space, equipment layout and the pipe arrangement, etc.
