Wireless sensor network is composed of distributed sensor nodes, and it isoften used to sense the environment conditions in a certain range, then send theresult to the users. It is widely used in the military, security, complexenvironmental monitoring and other fields and has a broad prospect fordevelopment. Due to the feature of resource constraints for sensor nodes, especially in energy-constrained of the network life cycle limiting thedevelopment of Wireless sensor network, so the technology of data aggregation isextremely important and has scientific value and development space.Based on the analysis of distributed source coding and the energyconsumption model for wireless sensor network, aiming at the correlation modeland the network topology optimization, the article carried out the optimizationalgorithm, also developed and design a practical data compression system basedon distributed source coding. This paper used the distributed source coding which transfer the complexcalculations of energy to unrestricted decoder, while encoder with lesscomputation that meets the needs of these nodes. Distributed Source Coding fortraditional linear correlation model have no dynamic tracking of the network, so aperfect correlation model and a correlation tracking algorithm are needed.Furthermore, combining the clustering routing protocol with the property ofbalanced energy consumption to the distributed source coding, not onlycompressed the data of terminal nodes but also aggregated data in the process oftransmission, and took full advantage of the correlation between the layers. Thedata was further compressed to achieve better compression. Finally, the thesisused the CC2530communication module as the hardware platform for system toexperiment and demonstrate the distributed source coding. The results haveshown that the distributed source coding compression rate is30%.
