With the rapid development of our country’s economy, growing urbanization, alarge number of buildings, underground structures, and large factories built, firesoccur frequently, so it is urgent to develop fire-fighting robot.Intelligent Fire FightingRobot use ARM9architecture processor as the control processor which has abundantinterfaces, strong operation ability and functions, in order to realize the function ofversatility, easy to expand, this article is based on embedded Linux operating system. This paper mainly introduced the intelligent fire-fighting robot which is basedarm9and embedded Linux operating system, in order to increase the intelligent andpracticability of the fire-fighting robot, I have expanded the function of the intelligentfire-fighting robot, makes the robot not only has the function to avoid obstacles, looking for the fire, fire fighting, but also has the function of the network real-timevideo monitoring. The fire fighting personnel can know the real-time informationtransmited by wireless network without entering the scene of fire. This paper set up the hardware system environment, including the design of usercontrol panel drawing, user interface circuit, sensor, motor drive module, power supplycircuit and so on.Building embedded Linux development environment, transplantu_boot, embedded Linux system, Boa server, the root file system, written the driverprogress of the motor and each sensor under the Linux operating system, alsoextended the function of the intelligent fire-fighting robot to realized the real-timenetwork video monitoring. Finally, the experiments have been carried out to test thefunction of the intelligent fire-fighting robot, points out the future research direction.
