Study On Marx’s Theory Of Alienated Labor

In Marx’s theory system,the theory of alienated labor plays a pivotal position. Both the construction of political economics and creation of scientific socialism are based on the theory of alienated labor. In a certain sense, Marx never gave up the theory of alienated labor from first to last. Therefore, the theory of alienated labor is an important path to establish Marx’s historical materialism and the key to understand Marx’s new world view.Marx criticized and absorbed the theory of alienation of Hegel and Feuerbach. But he analyzed the alienation of labor under the conditions of capitalism based on the real human and the real life. Hegel’s alienation is an abstract self-consciousness and Feuerbach’s alienation is an abstract human nature. But, any unrealistic theory out of our life is just a game of abstract thinking. Although the economist affirmed labor, they consider private ownership a fact. On the contrary, Marx found the duality of labor, viz., specific labor determining the use value of commodity and abstract labor deciding the value of commodity. Therefore, the duality of labor determines the duality of commodity.In Economics and Philosophy Manuscript in 1844(Hereinafter, referred to as the Manuscript) period, alienated labor is the ethical dimension in "alienation historical view". Marx tried to explain the history of alienation at that time. After learning rich knowledge of economics and history, Marx gradually applied more scientific concept of employed labor instead of alienated labor to construct his historical materialism. As a critique of capitalism, the essence of the Manuscript is inherited, been an important category of Marx’s historical materialism. Then Marx turned to illustrate the history of alienation, completing an important transformation from "alienation history view" to historical materialism.Based on information, technology and globalization, the absolute rule of capital still exists and the essence of capitalist exploitation has not changed. Marx’s theory of alienaed labor analysis and criticism on human existence still have a lot of vitality. So we should absorb nutrition from that to find a way to solve the current predicament.
