Junior middle school is an important stage for students to learn English, how to teach English effectively and change the traditional "dumb" English is the direction for every English educator towards on. Increase classroom communication and use appropriate classroom questioning strategies is one way to improve the effect of English teaching. This research is according on the domestic and foreign literature on classroom questioning, and taking school of WuYi road in the city of LinFen in ShanXi province as example, doing an empirical research. Try to know about the current situation and find the problems of junior middle school classroom questioning by sending out questionnaires, aimed at these problems this research puts forward teaching suggestions in junior middle school. There are six parts in this paper, the main contents and structure are as follow:The first part is literature review, which introduces the research background, research purpose and research significance, research thinking and research method, and defines the core concepts.The second part is literature review, which introduces the relevant research situation about classroom questioning and classroom questioning strategies at home and abroad.The third part is the theoretical basis, which provides the research of junior English classroom questioning and construction of questioning strategies with solid foundation.The fourth part is the survey results of junior middle school English classroom questioning current situation. This part introduces the investigation purpose, investigation objection, and describes the investigation process and conclusion. First, it accords to the four dimensions of classroom questioning:Preparation strategy dimension, Questioning strategy dimension, Control strategy dimension and Evaluation strategy dimension design questionnaire, and collect data. This paper analyze the collected data by SPSS 19.0 and make conclusions as follows: 1.Questioning strategy dimension and Evaluation strategy dimension of English classroom questioning are not good.2. There are differences in the Control strategy dimension between middle grade 1 and middle grade 3; 3. There are differences in the Evaluation strategy dimension between boys and girls; Through the study, this paper finds there are following problems in junior middle school English classroom:1. Preparation strategy dimension:Too much knowledge questions and lack of referential questions.2. Questioning strategy dimension:English teachers are lack of facial languages; The atmosphere of classroom questioning is tense. Questioning objection is inappropriate.3. Control strategy dimension:The waiting time is insufficient; Lack of leading approaches.4. Evaluation strategy dimension:Too much praise for students and the feedback is not enough.The fifth part purposes suggestions as follow:1. Design the questions carefully to guarantee the scientific of questions; 2. Use a variety of methods to guarantee the acceptability of questions.3. Take the answers flexible to guarantee the questioning smoothly.4. Make accurate evaluation to achieve the purpose of feedback.The sixth part summarizes the achievements of the research, pointing out the limitations of the research and the key points or ideas for the further research.
