Innovative talents are the fundament of national enterprise. As the high level talents who have received systematic academic training from national tertiary institution, graduate students play an indispensable role in the nation’s economic and social development. Graduate innovation and entrepreneurship ability has turned into an important indicator to measure and evaluate the quality of graduate education. Recently, topics concentrating on how to cultivate graduate research and innovation mind and practical entrepreneurship ability, and how to efficiently promote graduate innovation and entrepreneurship practices have drawn wide attention from Chinese researchers. However, innovation and entrepreneurship education is still at an initial stage in China which has not yet formed a systematic educational assessment system. Thereinto, assessment research focusing on Graduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education(thereafter referred to as Innovation Education) is particularly rare. Therefore, how to make scientific assessment of Innovation Education is an important issue to be solved in educational circles.The current study derives from the project---- "Educational Research of Chongqing Graduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practices", one of Reform Projects of Chongqing Graduate Education and Teaching(major projects). The study contributes to 1) enrich the research findings in the field of assessment on innovation education, 2) develop the theoretical frameworks and methodological strategies in assessment on innovation education, 3) according to the evaluation index, conceive an Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) based assessment framework for innovation education, and 6) provide reference for the promotion of domestic innovation education.First, the thesis extracts an evaluation index for Innovation Education by means of reviewing relevant literature and modifies it appropriately in terms of expert consultation. Then, the study carries out questionnaire survey, in which the questionnaire is designed on the basis of the evaluation index, on postgraduates selected from 4 universities in Chongqing. The statistical questionnaire results are analyzed by AMOS to determine the weight of effect each evaluation index has on innovation education. According to the modified evaluation index, the study establishes an AHP-based assessment system framework, and referring to the statistical results from AMOS and experts’ suggestions, the study constructs a judgment matrix for educational assessment of innovation education. Afterwards, the assessment model of innovation education is designed in YAAHP, and the judgment matrix is inputted in the software to examine its consistency. Finally, the thesis presents the assessment results derived from YAAHP, analyzes them and tries to put forward some feasible measures and suggestions in order to promote the effect of Innovation Education in China.
