Teaching material is the embodiment of “Ordinary high school biology curriculum standard”, thus the reform of the teaching material can directly reflect the most advanced educational theory in our country. Considering that biology is a natural science based on experiment, “Ordinary high school biology curriculum standard” mentioned “Cultivating students’ biological science literacy” and “Advocating inquiry-based learning”. Because biological experiment is the foundation for the students to learn biology knowledge, and it is an important part of biology textbooks, it plays an important role for students to form good biological science literacy and cultivate students’ exploring ability. The thesis presents their advantages and disadvantages of PEP edition, JSJY and BSD in aspect of experimental part.As for the experimental content,in the three teaching materials,ZJKJ has most common experiment. And most of required a experimental laboratory experiments, need to be done in the laboratory. Three versions of materials involved in the experiment are closely linked with real life. Blind spot detection such as diabetes, human eyes detection, ethylene ripening effect. the knowledge that students learn in the school classroom can be applied to life, it well embodies the concept of STS education.As for the experimental column, they have their own characteristics. A variety of experimental typesstimulate the students’ interest in learning experiment, which provides a good platform to cultivate the students’ experimental ability and scientific inquiry ability.As for experiment number and distribution, the books of three versions are stressing thecultivation of students’ ability to experiment and to explore. The experiment number in JSJY edition books is the largest, the larger one is BSD edition books, the least one is PEP edition books.As for Laboratory safety education, the best one is JSJY edition books. In addition to the experiment safety rules on the last pages, distinct safety instruction can be seen in each experiment. Nevertheless, compared with JSJY edition books, BSD ones and PEP ones seem insufficient, for each book having just a few safety instructions.As for the selection of experimental material, they have one common point, that is lifelization. But the number of Laboratory Equipment picked by JSJY edition books is more than BSD one.
