Family is the basic unit of society. Family harmony can affect social harmony. Along with the development of the process of reform and opening-up, our country is experiencing multiple social transformations, which has influenced people’s vision about the idea of cultural education for family parent-child education and also has proposed new requirements. Traditional and old-fashioned family education is not suitable for the current society, people need to update education idea constantly and add new elements in family education. In the fierce market competition, people tend to focus on work and study more. To improve their own comprehensive competitiveness, they are busy dealing with all kinds of social and interpersonal activity, and thus, they often ignore their family parent-child interaction which makes their family parent-child conflicts intensified. These can trigger a series of family problems which would seriously affect the normal function of family. Based on this, this study would analysis causes parent-child conflict through the detailed elaboration of urban family parent-child conflict problem and help people to solve family parent-child problems by using professional social work intervention method, and finally make a summary of social work service’s effects or results through professional social assessment, and then reflect on the whole service professional.The object of this research is S community in Nanjing city. Through collecting and finishing specific parent-child conflicts materials of the research object, parent-child conflicts could be divided into imperative, fulminated, educational and permissive type in this research. Through participatory observation method and interview method, this research collects detailed current information of family parent-child relationship in S community. By focusing on carding information obtained, this research discovers that the parent-child conflict are caused by both subjective reasons of parents or children and objective reasons of social transformation or social competition. The main reason is their poor family communication.This research pays enough attention to certain status of certain family’s conflict through parent-child case service, and use the model of professional treatment intervention, thus improving communication status among family members effectively and maintaining the consistency of communication. In parent-child group activities, this research excavates members’ potential abilities fully, promotes their parent-child interaction, and enriches the members’ the family experience. By combining the social case service with social team service, this research does not only pay attention to the particularity of the case, but also strengthen the group interaction. By making up for the shortcomings of each other, this research can help the service object resolve the problem more specific and make research results more significantly. Social work intervention in family parent-child conflict research can not only improve parent-child relationship, but also help the development of the localization of social work development by seeking suitable solutions to Chinese specific situation.
