Postgraduates’ education is the highest level of education in our country, and postgraduates group is shouldering the construction of socialism with C hinese characteristics and the historic task of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. It is important not only for postgraduates’ healthy growth but also for the construction of harmonious campus and harmonious society to strengthen and improve the postgraduates’ ideological and political education. With the deepening of the globalization and networking, as well as expanding of postgraduates’ scale, the characteristic of postgraduates is becoming more and more complex. Different types of postgraduates group has different ideological and political status and education demand, the disadvantages of traditional mode postgraduates’ ideological and political education are showing day by day. It is a problem that postgraduates’ ideological and political education in colleges should think and research to break the traditional education methods and ideas and conduct the demassification education.Demassification of postgraduates’ ideological and political education in colleges is, in the process of ideological and political education, divide the postgraduates into different types according to their thought characteristic and demand, implementation targeted education for different types and make the effect of education achieve the best. Demassification is determined by the practical development of postgraduates’ education, is necessary requirement to adapt to the challenge of era and change of graduate thought, is the need for the innovation of university postgraduates’ ideological and political education, is the inevitable choice to inheritance the valuable experiences about ideological and political education of our party. In the implementation process of demassification of postgraduates’ ideological and political education in colleges, we should change concepts and set up the "people-oriented" demassification education concept; distinguish the audience and improve the pertinence of postgraduates’ ideological and political education content; clarify responsibility and emphasize the function of mentors in the ideological and political education; develop channels and attach great importance to the postgraduates’ “Three Supports” work and online community construction.
