The ordinary high school history curriculum standard(experiment),which. this Ministry of Education promulgated in 2003,puts forward the idea that the presentation of history textbooks should be diversified. Therefore, it comes to the situation of one standard many versions and people have an autonomic choice in the same content. And the history textbook, as the most important curriculum resource for the teacher teaching and student learning, has a major role in realization of the objectives of the history curriculum. In the practical teaching activities, teachers’comparing and studying different versions helps them to exploit the advantages of different versions to the full and use them flexibly. Taking the May 4th Movement relevant contents as an example, the author carries on the brief comparative analysis of the four versions textbooks.Firstly, the author deciphers the May 4th Movement relevant content in the curriculum standard. Then, by comparing the four versions of textbooks system and the auxiliary system of texts about the movement, the author discovers that People’s version follows the standard in the highest level of four while the Yuelu’s version is the most writing characteristics. The knowledge point in four versions is basically the same but the Yuelu’s version is of the most readability. The Yuelu’s version states the antecedents and consequences, etc. Inherent relations clearly, not just to enumerate the facts and the landmark events. Lastly, in the actual teaching process, the author suggests teachers play the advantages of different versions and optimize the teaching contents so as to achieve the better teaching effect.
