With the deepening of reform and opening up policy, Sino-foreign cooperative education has become an common pattern of higher-education and international cooperation& communication. Through such pattern, ideology, mechanism, mode and resource of education in developed countries can be integrated with Chinese higher-education, to improve its promotion and innovation. However, while introducing excellent resources from abroad, implementation of ideological and political education is equally important, such cooperation raise higher demand for effective media. Because media of ideological and political education are vital elements of its system, it does not only affect content and manner of education, but also influences the outcome of education. The pattern of Sino-foreign cooperative education is particular and its experience of practice is rather deficient, let alone the study on media of ideological and political education., As educational system and ideology vary greatly from China to foreign countries, there is greater demand for the innovation in media of ideological and political education.The article starts firstly with an overview of medium of ideological and political education, defining its scope, types and characteristics; in the next place, it analyzes the particularity of cooperative pattern, pluralism of culture, and specificity of educational subject, and discusses the necessity of innovation in media of ideological and political education; last but not least, the article explores and puts forward methods of such innovation, based on principles of people-orientation, system integration, objectivity, and practicalness.
