This paper started from the survey about the political identification situation ofShijiazhuang Vocational College of Scientific and Technical Engineering students, and thenmade a preliminary analysis of the current situation and problems. For the higher vocationalcollege students in political identification issues, this paper made a systematic analysis ofpolitical identification on factors affecting vocational college student. Finally, the paperfocused on countermeasures to improve higher vocational college students’ politicalidentification level from three perspectives of schools, society, and government.Section one, overview of related concepts and theories. In this section, the paperintroduces the basic conception of political identification and the higher vocational collegestudents’ political identification. The general definition of political identification is a sense offeeling and belonging that people have in the social and political life. Political identificationof higher vocational college students refers to the operation of the existing political systemand its sense of belonging and feelings of higher vocational college students produce socialand political life, and political values in political life is consistent with the political systemunder behavioral activity and the corresponding orientation. In this section, the paper alsoanalyzes the student population characteristics of higher vocational college, as well as theexistence of strengths and weaknesses among higher vocational college studentsSection two, status and problems of political identification of higher vocational collegestudents. In this section, this paper started from the survey about the political identificationsituation of Shijiazhuang Vocational College of Scientific and Technical Engineering students,and then made a preliminary analysis of the current situation and problems. Survey dataindicated that mainstream of their political identification was positive, and showed a stableand healthy development momentum in general. The vast majority of higher vocationalcollege students took positive values, which are shown in the concept of the politicalguidance of the Chinese Communist Party, supporting the leadership of the Communist Partyof China, recognizing achievements of reform and opening, endorsing the principle of partyand state policies, and the confidence of development prospects of the country. The degree ofparty identification, policy degree of recognition and national identification was relatively high. However, the survey also found some problems existed, which was mainly as follows:the shallow understanding of socialism tendencies; lack of proper understanding for theCommunist Party of China, such as the motives are not pure; the understanding to the partyand policies was not deep enough; the work of the Party and the country’s performance is nothigh enough in degree of recognition; there is one-sided opinion on ideological and politicaleducation; and the attention to national affairs is still relatively low.Section three, causes of problems for political identification of higher vocational collegestudents. In this section, for the higher vocational college students in political identificationissues, this paper made a systematic analysis of political identification on factors affectingvocational college student. The survey of political identification in Shijiazhuang VocationalCollege of Scientific and Technical Engineering students indicated that there were two factorsnamely individual differences and macroeconomic factors. Paper explored the impact of atargeted individual differences and macroeconomic factors for the higher vocational collegestudents. Through the analysis, the author believed that the factors involved in individualdifferences, human quality differences, gender differences, differences in grades, anddifferent birthplaces. In macroeconomic factors, the shortcomings of higher vocationaleducation, the increasingly severe employment situation, the thoughts of the socialenvironment, the mass media, and the socialist market economic system had a greater impacton vocational college students’ political identification.Section four, countermeasures to improve political identification level of highervocational college students. In this sectionthe paper focused on countermeasures to improvepolitical identification level of higher vocational college students from three perspectives ofschools, society, and government. From the school point of view, ideological and politicaleducation should be put in the first place, then improve the ideological and political education,so as to make the method and content incline to practice. Higher vocational college supposeto face its own reality, find its own strengths and potential mining, resist bad thoughts invade,and transfer positive energy; education and teaching together to improve vocational collegesstudents’ social resilience discrimination. From the social point of view, the higher vocationalcollege students were enlightened by political ideas from the first initial of family influenceand political experience; TV, radio, Internet, newspapers, magazines and other mass media is an important way to propaganda modern social and political socialization; in their peer grouplife, higher vocational institutions students are easy to communicate with each otherintellectually, emotionally cross contamination, mutual imitation behavior. Therefore, thispeer group life has greater impact on their political identification. From the government pointof view, we should gradually increase performance effectiveness, improve the government’simage, and vigorously correct the bad manners to create a powerful persuasive politicalsystem,as well as optimize social dominant political culture. The mainstream consciousnessof the students agree that education should be based on the overall progress of highervocational institutions as the goal, to adhere to the people-oriented, focusing on thecombination of theory and practice, to improve the relevance and effectiveness of themainstream ideology of education, and to stress students’ individual initiative and autonomyto make public education work efficiently and orderly, as well as to firmly establish the rightpolitical values; the relevant departments of higher vocational colleges should attachsufficient importance to higher vocational college students and political participation toestablish and improve the information transmission channels, to maximize stimulate studententhusiasm for higher vocational colleges, and to enhance their sense of ownership.
