With the rapid development of knowledge economy, How to cultivate high-quality citizens with humanistic literacy has become the focus of academic circles. In order to adapt the requirement of the education reform, General High School History Curriculum Standards put forward clearly to deepen understanding of the people first, being good with living things, concerning about the fate of human beings in the history.Now the awareness of people’s livelihood which referring to an important kind of humanistic spirit is more and more valued. Permeating people’s livelihood education into history teaching process is always followed with forming the awareness of humanities and construction of the awareness of people’s livelihood.The cultivation of the awareness of people’s livelihood is not only the base of the livelihood society, but also is the key to building a harmonious society. So history teachers should guide students to focus on the positive relationship between person and person, person and society, person and nature. It is a good way to educate students the awareness of people’s livelihood by putting the historical consciousness, and the awareness of civic awareness into history teaching. The history teaching can help students deepen their understanding of questions about people’s livelihood, and establish their livelihood-oriented values. It has Realistic significance of the times.In order to know training situation about the awareness of people’s livelihood of senior high school students the author takes an random sample survey in senior grade one of Fujian Zhangzhou NO.1 high school The questionnaire shows us that senior high school students study knowledge about people’s livelihood by repeating from memory. It is due to the traditional teaching concept, and the level of psychological development of students. Although they have a tendency to cultivate themselves the awareness of people’s livelihood, they failed to establish appropriate link between the knowledge of textbook and the livelihood questions from activity. In addition, Teachers pay more attention to teaching the knowledge under the influence of traditional concepts, incorrectly. This teaching form is not beneficial to the education of the people’s livelihood awareness.It is educators’ responsibility to combine the physical and mental development of students, to change the traditional mode of teaching knowledge, to break examination-oriented education and to dig livelihood resources from textbook. Training senior high school students the awareness of people’ livelihood is extremely significant In order to help students establish the awareness of people’s livelihood the author will attach importance to the result of questionnaire and pay more effort to find valid strategies.
