In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the development of teenagers’ constitution and psychology with the deepening reformation of the education system. As physical exercises can, to some extent, effectively relieve academic stress and reduce anxiety and depression, it can also bring positive psychological benefits including joy, happiness, perseverance and so on to teenagers. Therefore, reasonable assessment tools are definitely needed to evaluate psychological benefits that physical exercises bring to teenagers. This study reviews and refers to previous researchers’ adoption of assessment tools to evaluate psychological benefits brought by physical exercises, which are basically frequently-used psychological health questionnaires, such as the Symptom Checklist (SCL-90), the Mental Health Tests (MHT) and the Profile of Mood States (POMS). Basic frameworks, dimensionality and contents of these questionnaires are mainly constructed from the perspective of negative psychological factors such as problems or symptoms. There are no specific questionnaires to fully evaluate comprehensive psychological benefits of teenagers’ exercises from positive factors. When evaluating psychological benefits brought by physical exercises, those frequently-used psychological health questionnaires from the perspective of negative psychology will inevitably ignore evaluating "positive psychological benefits of exercises". Taking the lack of enough researches of traditional psychological health questionnaire into consideration, it is necessary to prepare new assessment tools to evaluate positive psychological benefits of exercises. This study is of strong practical application significance.Approaches of interview, documentary and mathematical statistics are adopted in this thesis to investigate about 3,500 high school students, the following conclusions have been drawn after analyzing and establishing questionnaires of psychological benefits brought by physical exercises:1. The assessment questionnaire of positive psychological benefits of teenagers’physical exercises includes six dimensions of the interpersonal relationships, self-awareness, adaptability, emotional experience, moral quality and personality trait.2. The assessment questionnaire of positive psychological benefits of teenagers’ physical exercises established in this study is of great reliability and validity.3. Overall, gender difference does not exist in positive psychological benefits of teenagers’ physical exercises. But there is the significant gender difference in self-awareness, interpersonal communication and moral quality, while it does not exist in adaptability, emotional experience and personality trait.4. On the whole, grade difference does exist in positive psychological benefits of teenagers’ physical exercises. After physical exercises, there is the significant grade difference between junior school students and high school students in the dimensions of interpersonal communication, adaptability, emotional experience and personality trait. But there is no grade difference in moral quality.5. There is the obvious time difference in positive psychological benefits of teenagers’ physical exercises. Among psychological benefits of low, moderate and longe time exercises, that of the time time exercises is the best.6. Positive psychological benefits of teenagers’ physical exercises significantly differ in schools of various levels. On the comparison of provincial key schools, city’s key schools and ordinary schools, it can be seen that in general, psychological benefits of physical exercises in city’s key school is higher than that in provincial key schools, and psychological benefits of physical exercises in provincial key schools is higher than that in ordinary schools.
