One of the basic characteristics of Mathematics is that you can find broad application of it. With the rapid development of scientific technology and life standard, people are attaching more and more importance to applied Mathematics. As a result, its status has improved correspondingly, so Mathematical modeling do takes place in our daily lives. However, what teachers and students are suffering form nowadays is that how we can put the idea of Mathematical modeling into daily teaching. So, it s of great significance for teachers to put the Mathematical modeling idea into function teaching in senior high school, because it can cultivate mathematical applied awareness and exploration ability of students.Firstly, the dissertation analyzes the status quo of Mathematics course, and the degrees that the Mathematical modeling idea has integrated into the main courses. Then through the practical research on mathematical modeling ides into function teaching in senior high school. Thus, it can prove that this is one of the most effective way to foster modeling idea and improve mathematical applied awareness among students.According to the questionnaires target at students, students are more interested in the mathematical problems which are closely related with reality life, for instance, raining. Therefore, they will would like to know about mathematical modeling idea and use it to solve abstract problems in life. During the interview with teachers, they maintain that Mathematics should be taught by the way of modeling, they also hope that they can spread mathematical modeling idea by means of simple modeling activities. Hence, they spare no effort to put mathematical modeling idea into function teaching in senior high school in order to cultivate exploration ability and mind creativity of students. Based on the above introduction, the paper mainly studies the mathematical modeling and typical application cases of basic function teaching. What’s more, it also put forward some advice and methods to effectively integrate modeling idea into function teaching in senior high school.
