In the 20th century British literature, Virginia Woolf is an outstanding woman writer, like a bright star giving forth amazing light. She is a leader of feminist literary creation, and has also an important place in feminist literary criticism. She originates feminist literary point of view based upon the creative practice of her own. The characteristics of feminist literature as well as her feminist ideas, which have been paid much attention to, have become a common research topic at the present.Woolf lived in Victorian period of social transition, when the status of women time was pretty low. Woolf was raised in one literary reputation family. However, she had no chance to receive formal school education, and she formed her own feminist ideas under the influence of the women-liberation movement. Her thought intension is profound, which have influenced countless feminists who absorbed its essence and carried forward later.Under the current studies of Woolf’s feminist viewpoints, most of the reviewers have evaluate the Woolf and her literary views by analyzing her personal experience or fiction composition, while they paid least attention to her creative skills. In this paper, the author analyzes Woolf characteristics of feminist literature and focuses on her creative skills as well. As a female writer, Woolf was sensitive and delicate with the feminine intuition. At the same time, she paid special attention to the historical status of women. She created many images of women in her work. This paper attempts to analyze Virginia Woolf feminist view based on the work A Room of One’s Own, and expounds Woolf feminism through including a rage of her master works, such as To the Lighthouse, Mrs. Dalloway, The Waves and The Voyage Out. Woolf interprets her feminist view in her work by creating different type of women, such as virtuous women, rebellious women as well as independent women. Woolf s feminist ideas and literary creation have a great influence on later writers.Besides Abstract and Introduction, there are four characters in this paper. Chapter One introduces Virginia Woolf and feminism, and analyzes Virginia Woolf and 20th Century feminism. Chapter Two analyzes Woolf’s feminist view as well as the views reflected in her works. Chapter Three analyzes Woolf’s female images in the works, and divides them as follows:good-wife and loving-mother type, losing-oneself type, rebellious type and independent type. Through the analysis of those female images, Woolf’s feminist thought was well interpreted. The influence on the later literary creation is discussed in Chapter Four.
