North China grassland region is the west Gansu mountains to the east Sanggan river valley until the narrow strip of Yanshan mountain. It’s a part of the Eurasian steppes, the region is located in the north of the central plains farming region, It has a unique natural environment and economic situation. The region’s culture from the late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age, as the change of climate, Settled peoples begin to flow, and the settled agricultural economy gradually into the nomadic economy. Nomad’s characteristic of the harness is common in these cultures, from the Upper Xiajiadian culture of the late Bronze Age culture to the Taohongbala culture and the Yanglang culture of the early iron age has found. Harness is the necessity of nomad. Through the study of the harness in different culture, this paper try to get a deeper impression of north China grassland region in the course of economic transformation.
