Diagnosis And Treatment Of 99 Cases Of Congenital Vascular Ring

Objevtive:To evaluate the clinical characteristics and diagnosis and treatments of congenital vascular ring in children.Methods:The clinical data,imaging examinations and treatment of 99 cases of congenital vascular ring in children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2006 and December 2015 were retrospective analyzed.Results:This study of 99 cases of congenital vascular ring including 55 males and 44 females,age from 0.05 month to 149 months( median 7.2 months).The diagnosis including pulmonary artery sling in 51 cases(51.5%),double aorta arch in 32 cases(32.3%),right aortic arch with left ductus arteriosus in15 cases(15.2%),left aoaic arch with vagus right subclavian artery in 1 case(1%).83.8% of patients with clinical characteristics is given priority to with respiratory symptoms. 64 cases( 64.6%) combined with heart malformations,69 cases(69.7%) combined with tracheobronchial stenosis,14 cases(14.1%) combined with esophageal stricture.The diagnosis accuracy of echocardiographic was 57.4% and that of CT examination was 91.6%.57 cases of congenital vascular ring completed the operation.Non-surgical treatment of 42 cases, among which 11 cases transferred to the intensive care unit.Severe respiratory infection(22.8%) are major postoperative complications.Conclusion:Children with recurrent respiratory symptoms should be examined for the presence of congenital vascular ring. Eehocardiography combined with CTA is the best way to diagnose vascular ring.Type of vascular ring, age and other congenital dysplasia of the airway, the combining pulmonary hypoplasia were risk factors worsening the non-operative patients’ condition.Early correct diagnosis and timely surgical treatment are the keys to surviva1.
