Objective:To investigate the meaning of epilepsy lesion resection treatment to treat medically intractable epilepsy. Methods:The study included 6 patient with medically intractable epilepsy,4 males and 2 females aged from 11 to 30 years, who were received the surgical treatment and drainage in the neurosurgery department of Zunyi Medical College Affiliated Hospital from January 2015 to February 2016. The 6 patients were examined with the CTã€MRIã€VEEG before the surgical treatment and located the epilepsy lesions by using the American Nicolet electrical trace system. Then removed the epilepsy lesions and made routine pathologic examination.Oraled the antiepileptic drugs after surgical treatment.Results:1)In the Study, 1 case of CT examination results showed structural changes;5 cases of MRI examination results showed structural changes; 6 cases of EEG examination recorded the epilepsy waves at the structural changed zone. 2)6 patients captured the epilepsy waves at the prelocated epileptogenic zone by using the electrical trace system to monitoring the cortex electrode in surgery. Then removed the epileptogenic zone until it had showed all the epilepsy waves were disappeared.3)To analysis the postoperative efficacy, different changes after the surgery were categorized into 4 grades according the Engel grading evaluation:Grade â… (3 cases),Gradeâ…¡(1case),Gradeâ…¢(2 cases),Grade â…£(0 cases). Conclusion:For the therapy of tomedically intractable epilepsy, using the MRI,EEG and cortex electrode monitoring system to locate the and remove the epileptogenic zone can improve the effective rate of surgical treatment. The monitoring cortex electrode technology has become an important way of the accurate locate epileptogenic zone. |
