| Objective: 1. To observe the preventive and therapeutic effects of acute radiation injury on the patients with malignant tumor in the head and neck of "lanzhou prescription".2. Effect of "lanzhou prescription" on immune function of patients with malignant tumor in head and neck.Methods: 69 patients met the inclusion standards of head and neck malignant tumor patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group received radiation therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of "lanzhou prescription", the control group was treated with radiation therapy, according to the RTOG acute radiation injury classification standard for the treatment of two groups of patients with skin and mucosa, salivary gland of radiation acute injury, between the two groups after treatment compared. Application flow cytometric detection of two groups before and after treatment in patients with T lymphocyte subsets CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, the ratio of CD4+/CD8+, to make comparison between the self comparison and group before and after treatment, to assess the two groups of patients cellular immunity.Results: 1. After the treatment, the treatment group and control group with acute radioactive skin damage degree had no significant difference(P>0.05). 2. Treatment and after treatment, the treatment group with acute radioactive mucous membrane damage degree were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05). 3. The treatment and after treatment, the treatment group with acute radioactive salivary gland damage degree were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05). 4. The control group after treatment the values of CD3+, CD8+ compared with before treatment there was no significant difference(P>0.05), while the values of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ ratio significantly after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05). 5. The treatment group before and after treatment the values of CD3+, CD8+, CD4+,CD4+/ CD8+ ratio had no significant change(P>0.05). 6. The two groups before treatment the values of CD3+, CD8+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ ratio had no significant change(P>0.05), while the values of CD3+, CD8+ after treatment there was no significant difference(P>0.05), the values of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ ratio of the treatment group was higher than control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: "lanzhou prescription" have no effect of prevention or protection or treatment with acute skin injury caused by radiation therapy in patients with head and neck malignant tumor, but has a good prevention and protection and treatment function for acute mucosa, salivary gland damage caused by radiation therapy. the values of T lymphocyte’s CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ ratio were reduced in Patients with head and neck malignant tumor after radiation therapy, while using "lanzhou prescription" synchronization in radiotherapy for treat head and neck malignant tumour in patients can avoid the reduce of cellular immune function. |
