| Objectives To evaluate efficacy and safety of three dimensional(3D) stereotactic technique in 125I seed implantation for treatment of primary liver cancer. Methods The 56 patients pathological diagnosed as primary liver cancer in Tangshan People’s Hospital from 2012 January to 2014 June were selected as subjects. All patients received hepatic artery chemotherapy and embolization. Within three to fourteen days after treatment, the patients were divided into two groups: group A, 28 patients received 125I seed implantation under 3D stereotactic CT guidance; group B, 28 cases received 25 I seed implantation under the CT guidance. All of the patients were followed up for 2-18 months, the treatment effects of two groups were evaluated. Results The operations of 125I seed implantation were all completed successfully. There were no significantly difference of tumor necrosis rate between group A and group B(P> 0.05); The follow-up after 18 months showed that the survival rate of groups A was higher than that of group B, the difference has obvious statistical significance(P < 0.05); the serious complications of group A were significantly lower than those of group B, the difference has obvious statistical significance(P< 0.05).Conclusions 1.Basing on the treatment of hepatic arterial chemotherapy and embolization, 3D CT guided 125I seed implantation can enhance the accuracy, reduce the complications, and increase survival rate of the patients with primary liver cancer. 2. 3D CT guided 125I seed implantation have a higher level of security in the treatment of primary liver cance, and prevent the occurrence of accidents and surgery complications effectively. |
