Objective:To observe how autologous platelet-rich plasma combined with amniotic membrane may be used in treatment of refractory ocular surface disease, and to evaluate its clinical value and significance.Methods:35 patients 45 eyes in our hospital, have been treated using autologous platelet-rich plasma combined with amniotic membrane transplantation. As follow-up for one to six months, the patients have been observed for their ocular surfaces repair and the improvement of symptoms. Results:The ocular surface epitheliums of patients have been repaired by varied degrees, and patients themselves feel their symptoms are relieved in varied levels, 18 cases 23 eyes of chemical burns andthermal burns in 19 cases 24 eyes of ocular surface epithelial basic repair, 1 case of patients with corneal perforation. 5patients 10 eyes with severe dry eye symptoms were improved consciously, the ocular surface epitheliums have been repaired partial or fully. 5 eyes of 9 patients 9 eyes with corneal ulcer healing, 3 cases improved significantly, 1 case showed no change.2 eyes of2 parients with scleral melt healing. Conclusions :Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma combined with amniotic membrane is a new type of amniotic membrane complex, which open up a new effective way of the ocular surface disease treatment. |
