| Objective The study on the treatment of severe hydronephrosis caused by upper urinary tract calculi.Methods Totally 48 cases were treated with Transurethral ureteroscopy,MPCNL, ureterolithotomy, preoperative and postoperative measurement the thickness of renal cortex; postoperative follow-up of 9 to 42 months to understand the patients recovery.Results The calculi were dealt with and kidneys were preserved successfully in the remaining 48 patients, All patients were not have osphyalgia, fever, no exacerbation of hypertension; 10 cases of postoperative have mild hydronephrosis, ureteral stricture occurred in 2 cases; 2 cases due to obstruction to appear severe hydronephrosis; 4 cases of uremia patients with postoperative serum creatinine decreased significantly, among them 1 case after 2 years received hematodialysis. Preoperative and postoperative of renal cortical thickness have significant statistical difference(P < 0.05).Conclusions Severe hydronephrosis accompanied with poor renal function should avoid nephrectomy, surgery to remove the obstruction, it is beneficial to the recovery of renal function in patients with, improve the quality of life, while increasing density of postoperative follow-up of patients, to avoid again obstruction leads to impairment of the renal function. |
