Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of three occupational health risk assessment models in wood furniture manufacturing industry and veneer processing industry. Singapore model was modified to establish a simple combination method and comprehensive method. the applicability of Chinese enterprises was investigated to provide a basis for the establishment of occupational health risk assessment criteria.Methods: Application of US EPA model, Romania model and Singapore Model to Survey the level of occupational health risks of wood furniture manufacturing enterprises and veneer processing industry. Risk ratio was used to compare the level of occupational health risk about three risk assessment models, using correlation coefficientto do related research of the three risk assessment models. Making improvements from hazard rating and exposure rating of Sinapore model disadvantages, establishing simple combination and comprehensive reform method.Results: The cancer risk of all risk factors are high risk and non-cancer risk are low to high risk in wood furniture enterprises;the cancer risk of risk factors are high risk and non-cancer risk are low risk in veneer processing industry when using US EPA model.The results of risk assessment in wood furniture enterprises are very low to moderate risk,and veneer processing industry are low to moderate risk using Romania model.The result of risk assessment in wood furniture enterprises are low to high risk,veneer processing industry are moderate to very high risk Using Sigopore exposure concentration method.The result of wood furniture enterprises and veneer processing industry are all moderate to very high risk using Singopore exposure index mothod. Romania model are significantly different(p<0.05).to US EPA model, Singapore exposure index method and Sigopore exposure concentration method. The correlation coefficient of Sigopore exposure concentration method and Romania model is hightest(r = 0.839), the next is Singapore exposure index method and Sigopore exposure concentration method(0.651), and the correlation coefficient of Singopore exposure index mothod and Romania model is the lowest(r = 0.383). Singapore semi-quantitative risk assessment model is superior to Romania qualitative risk assessment model, Singapore model was more inclusive and applicability.The risk assessment results of Sigopore exposure concentration method and comprehensive method(exposure index metod) are significantly different(p<0.05), there are no signigicant difference between simple combination method, comprehensive method, Sigopore exposure concentration method and Singapore exposure index method.(P>0.05)。Conclusions: Three occupations health risk assessment model can be applied to wooden furniture manufacturing industry, veneer processing industry. Singapore Model methodology itself has certain advantages than other methods which can be optimized based on it. Optimized method can provide the basis for the establishment of occupational health risk assessment. Comprehensive method absorbs the advantages of Singapore method, while increasing the risk assessment of physical factors and full consideration of China’s laws, regulations and standards of occupational disease prevention work requirements more in line with our country, with a certain value. |
