A Study About The Role Of Timeslips In The Cognitive Intervention Of Persons With Moderate Stage Dementia

Because of brain function in older people with dementia recession appeared different degree of change, including character, self-care ability and interpersonal communication difficulties and drop back, memory and cognitive abilities, and other behavioral problems,affect the quality of life of the elder. Elderly people with dementia’s endowment problem increasingly caused widespread social concern and attention. Foreign social work intervention for the old man with dementia, as a way of nonpharmacologic therapy to get promotion and popularization, but our country is still in the stage of theoretical exploration and practical application of lack of experience. In view of the existing research both at home and abroad, this paper adopt the way of group work study creative story therapy for dementia old man role of cognitive intervention.This article through Time Slips intervention to moderate older cognitive. For dramatics community in day care centers, the old man for seven weeks, weekly creative story therapy group activities, the main purpose of the activity is to change the society for Alzheimer’s disease, the old man’s opinion, delay the course of dementia old man, improving the quality of life for dementia old man and his family. After using the single system evaluation and daily observation interview method to evaluate effect of group activities.Evaluation results show that the creative story therapy on cognitive function in moderate Alzheimer’s disease of the old man has a positive impact, through creative story therapy,Alzheimer’s disease, the old man’s communication ability was improved, also improve cognitive function. Creative story therapy is improved, the old man and the relationship between the caregiver, changed the views of caregivers of dementia old man, promoted, the old man’s social and communication skills. The social work intervention moderate dementia, the old man’s activities for the future of social work intervention, the old man to carry out activities to provide some reference and suggestions.
