Purpose To evaluate the toxicity and treatment outcome for cervical cancer patients treated by radiotherapy, and to identify the prognostic factors. And evaluate the response of parametrial space according to tumor morphology with FIGOⅡB and IIIB during primary radiochemotherapy in cervical cancer. Methods Between June 2013 and December 2015,253 patients with stage Ib and Iva cervical carcinoma received concurrent chemoradiotherapy in Cancer Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were included and analyzed retrospectively. External beam radiation therapy technique is conventional four fields whole pelvis radiotherapy(4F-WPRT) plan and intensity-modulated WPRT(IMRT) plan. The whole pelvis with 4-field box technique for patients delivered 50Gy/25fracion. After external radioation therapy, high dose rate brachytherapy was prescribed to point A.The cervical cancer patients received weekly cisplan of 40mg/m2,dl,iv.Rusults The median follow-up period was 33.9months(range 10~71months), the 5-year overallsurvival rates was 73%,the 3-year overallsurvival rates was 83.5%,the 1-year overallsurvival rates was 98.4%.Conclusion The patients who received IMRT treatment achieved good treatment outcomes in our institute, and at the same time get a low severe complication rate. Pretreatment Hb,treatment time, pathologic type intent to a worse survival. The results show that the 5-year overall survival is comparable with reports in China, the 3-year overall survival is higher compared to reports aboard. In clinical treatment of the cervical cancer patients, some clinicopathologic characteristics are immutable factors, as stage and the time during treating,or the HR-CTV D90 doses. At the time treated by chemo-radiotherapy when compared with infliltrative tumors and expansive tumors, infiltrative tumors were advanced at presentation and respond less favorably. IGAT can get a better high doses in both groups.
