Objective:Acute myocardial infarction results from the plaque rupture and thrombosis in coronary artery, which occlude the coronary artery leading to the acute event caused by the cardiac ischemia and necrosis. It threatens human’s health and life. Myocardial infarction is commonly accompanied by fever, which can be caused by various etiologies including Dressler syndrome and infection. Steroid withdrawal syndrome is characterized by fever and other symptoms, evoked by abrupt cessation of steroid. This article aims to present a case of acute myocardial infarction with steroid withdrawal syndrome to understand the etiology of fever after myocardial infarction and increase the recognition of steroid withdrawal syndrome.
